Quizzes Over Assigned Readings

It is my expectation that you will have completed the assigned reading before lectures are given covering the topic.

In order to motivate you to keep up with the reading schedule, quizzes over assigned reading may periodically be given, usually at the beginning of a class period. These closed-book quizzes will consist of very simple boolean or multiple-choice questions that cover reading material that has been assigned, but not yet covered in lecture. The questions should be easy to answer if you have kept up with reading.

There is no schedule for the quizzes and the number is not fixed.

There will be no opportunity to make up a missed quiz unless an officially excused absence is presented.
